   ABOUT US - OUR HISTORY

TYCON technoglass was born in 1998 from the merger of two companies, Tycon
SpA and Technoglass SpA, the former founded in 1969 by Dr Augusto Conti, in
San Donà di Piave, the latter has been established at the beginning of the Eighties
in Quarto d'Altino, both locations are near
Venice. It is emphasised that at the
time, Tycon was utilising the know-how of GLASCOTE of the
United States,
accumulated over more than 60 years.
Over the years, since their foundation, both companies have perfected top quality
avant-garde techniques in glass-lined equipment for the chemical and
pharmaceutical industries, manufacturing products and providing services that
today are to be found throughout the world, and esteemed by the largest and most
    important companies in these sectors.
The merger of the two companies not only gave rise to a group with a turnover of
more than € 27.000.000 but, more particularly, permitted the combination and
optimisation, the synergy, of the experience, development and know-how of the
two individual companies, with the aim of providing for their clients the satisfaction
of their requirements to the maximum degree.
Both the companies were acquired, in 1997, by the U.S. Corporation Robbins & Myers

of Dayton, Ohio, the proprietors of a number of the most important
companies in the field of fluid handling. Within this group, TYCON technoglass
forms part of the Reactor Systems Division.
All activities as well as the registered head office of the company have moved to
    San Donà di Piave (
Venice), via J.F. Kennedy 20.
